Elk Horn is the home of the National Danish Immigrant Museum and hosts World class exhibits.
The latest in their Danish -American Artists Series is a retrospective of Danish Immigrant Grete Schioler's work. The exhibit runs from now until July 10. The works on view encompass a wide range of her work, including tapestry, silk painting, quilting, applique and knitting. Special tours for textile interest groups (quilting groups, knitting groups, etc.) can be arranged. For more information visit or call 712-764-7001.
The quilt shown above is simply called Circles. I'll be viewing the exhibit in the next few days and will show you more of her work. I hope many of you also get the chance to see it.
